About Me

My first contact with counselling was from my teenage years, when my parents divorced and I had difficulties with both my family and life changes as a young person. I found the opportunity to have a neutral space, out of my family, friends and school, invaluable. I found strength in myself to face the difficulties of my life at that time. I was much later inspired to work as a counsellor, I strongly believe that healing and growth can happen given the right conditions. The thing is, these conditions are sometimes very hard to find!

The person-centred approach as the name says, puts the person at the centre of their experience. This is necessary as it provides an opportunity to be more of our actual selves! We are asked many and many times to "fit" in someone elses agendas and demands, our counselling together will allow you space from your everyday life.

I am committed to providing a space for my clients to experience freedom to be themselves, a space for understanding, warmth and respect, where healing and genuine growth can happen.
